Tamarisk Restaurant in Green River, Utah gets Slammed on TripAdvisor

"We had dinner at this restaurant while in Green River. The food was not at all impressive. Maybe we chose uninteresting things, maybe we were too tired to enjoy anything, or maybe the food just wasn't very good. The view of the river was very nice but we wouldn't go back there. Actually, I wouldn't go back to Green River at all. This was one of the poorest experiences of a 3 1/2 week trip."

To make matters worse, The Tamarisks'ss bathroom also received a bad review on

"The divider itself is a real work of art -- and I mean that with as much sarcasm as I can muster. Because of the closeness of the urinal and sink, and the way the divider is set, the divider already offers little in terms of privacy. If two people were standing side by side there, each one using his own station, the divider would offer them little space for themselves -- similar to what was seen at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Boulder City, NV. Seems like these folks are a bit uptight. I recently heard on the radio that 48% of mean enjoy being watched while they are urinating. If my calculations are correct that would mean 100% of men love peeing in that bathroom 48% of the time.. Not to mention i quite like the Green Marble (iconic for the Green River) counter and matching tile. I think these reviews may have been posted by the owner of a competing watering whole. After all they are in Utah..

True story: Big Xtra lived directly across the street from the Tamarisk for 6 1/2 summers.

If you are dropping a #2 in that urinal I'd imagine you'd have even less privacy.

Boston.com – How many times have you Googled a hotel name and found a TripAdvisor review show up? How many times have you clicked on that link to read the review? How many of those reviews were fake? TripAdvisor is now under investigation by the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over concerns that reviews from “travelers” aren’t really from travelers, and aren’t legitimate reviews. The investigation has caused an uproar in the travel community, both from travelers who feel they’ve been lead down the wrong path and hotels who believe they’ve been scorned by fake reviewers. According to the UK’s Daily Mirror, “As many as five million of the most current reviews on the website could be fake,” according to Chris Emmins, co-founder of online reputation management company KwikChex.com. I reached out to TripAdvisor for comment on the case in question, and they declined to comment on the investigation itself.

According to my research, 49% of the men likes to watch themselves while peeing which means 40% of the men likes to pee in the same bathroom. They enjoy seeing themselves in the urinating and then flushing toilet.
